Goodbye Egypt, Hello England

My journey back to England

A few days ago Mum and Dad tried to book tickets on a flight called Thomson that goes to England, so they got on their computers. Mum booked her and me and Dad booked himself and Olympia and they pressed ok at the same time and guess what ? Mums computer went back to the start and said "you have failed" and Dads went to something that said "you have succeeded". What! They have got a flight and we haven't! Oh what a nightmare! So it seems like we have to stay in boiling hot Egypt for the rest of our lives while they get to go to the nice cool England.Thats Unfair. Finally after a few days we managed to get tickets for the same flight and all was well except for the fact that ours were more expensive. So after a fantastic week in Dahab we were on the flight watching T.V of course. But when the Dinner came around Olympia and I had to pay 7 english pounds for each one. And mum and dad got theirs for free, Of course! because Dad was sitting in mums and my seat, so thats why mine and mums were more expensive! So we paid for the meals and a few hours later we were Finally there. . It was 15 degrees not 38 like Dahab. Goodbye Egypt. Hello England.

My amazing dive in Dahab - Egypt

A few days ago I was in Dahab ready to dive, I had my regulator, my wetsuit, my tank, my booties and my fins. I was going to dive in the Red sea again! My instructors name was Mady but I also dived with Dad seeing as he is a dive master. We got in the water at about 11:00 and Mady and Dad taught Olympia and I a few sign's such as: I have a problem,Can I watch you do that again?, can we go up a little bit. and are you OK. She also taught us how to clear your regulator in 2 ways! When we finally got under we went straight down to about 9 meters when my regulator fell out of my mouth. Oh no I had to clean it.I cleaned it with number 2 way which is to take it out of your mouth, put it upside down and then put it back in your mouth and blow as hard as you can. Fortunately it worked it was safely placed in my mouth and it was clean. Anyway what I saw was: The Racoon butterfly fish,The red sea banner fish,The threadfin butterflyfish, pipe fish, The half spotted grouper,Lion fish, half and half chromis, Long nosed halk fish,The Napoleon wrasse,The red sea Picasso fish, starry puffer,The red sea ghost crab, hermet crabs, jelly fish, grape coral, finger coral, rose coral, crown of thorns, honey comb coral, brain coral and rough leather coral. That's one load of things isn't it? A few minutes later we had to get out and get dressed to go have lunch with our instructor oh I was having so much fun.

My amazing trip with the rubbish

Today at midday Olympia and I had to go down and put the two bags of rubbish in the bin, the toilet paper one and the kitchen one. We both wanted to take the toilet paper one because every time we we would through it down to the bottom of the stairs and then go get it. But this time I through it down while Olympia tryed to catch it. Unfortunately this didn't work instead it went in a little ditch behind the sink. I went to go get it. It worked,so we went over to the gate only to find it was locked. Me nor Olympia wanted to go get the key so I squeezed the toilet paper one through the crack and chucked it in the bin. Yes it worked! Oh now the kitchen one was to fat. So we got the ladder that we use to get the cats. We got it over (with abit of fuss) and I started climbing the ladder unfortunately it got unstable so I got off and said it wasn't a good idea. So we were trapped. Until Olympia had a bright idea that she climbs the gate and chucks it in the bin Fortunately it worked Yey we got rid of the stinky rubbish! Oh now we had the ladder to deal with. So we picked up the ladder and just as we were putting the ladder back it fell on Olympia and squished her. Finally we got it up and lived happily ever after.

The amazing Mohamed Ali mosque

On the 29.6.07 we went to an amazing mosque it's name was The Mohamed Ali mosques. It was so amazing you got to know about it.Well,we caught a cab and started to drive from new Cairo and in to Old Cairo, and you should of seen the architecture it was amazing! First we got our tickets and went straight in to the mosque area and Luckily a tour guide was there so we hooked on and went inside. Inside there was a big Chandelier with little ones all around it.There was also a big domed roof that was hand calved by the Egyptians! Wow the ancient Egyptian men must have had pretty big muscles. And the walls were extremely thick infact as thick as an Elephant. Suddenly a Police came in and started calling the prey without a micro phone just with a big loud speaking voice P.S He wasn't very good.Anyway after the prey we had to go out because we were nearly out of time so we went out and had a look outside. We saw things like Chandeliers, paintings, lions mosques and many more amazing things. Eventually we came to another mosque and went inside. There was nobody there Oh well it was to amazing to turn back now.We saw the Umm preying thing but this time it was outside. After seeing all that everyone was tyred so we had to go home.

My day at the Pyramids

One day ago we went to the amazing Pyramids and saw lots of extraordinary things.I'll tell you all about it.Well when we first got out of the taxi everyone was either asking us to ride in there horse and cart or to give them baksheesh which is a meaning of tips in Arabic. Anyway when we finally got out of all the fuss we went to the Pyramid named Cheops which is were king Cheops was buried.Oh sorry I forgot to tell you what a pyramid was. A pyramid is built to be a tomb or a grave house and to protect the body of a King or Queen. It has four triangular sides that meet at a point. Pyramids were made from huge blocks of stone that weigh about the weight of 2 modern cars. The largest surviving pyramid is the Great Pyramid of Cheops that covers an area of thirteen acres and is made up of two and a quarter million blocks (that's alot of weight). Well back to my story. When we got in to the pyramid of Cheops It was a little bit hot but when we got in further in It Was Boiling! and guess what we find at the end, An empty tomb.We came all the way for just an empty tomb.I touched the tomb thinking I would get the mummies curse, which is: "Death shall come on swift wings to him that toucheth the tomb of Pharaoh" but I don't believe this curse because I touched the tomb and I stayed the same. When we finally got out of the tomb,we saw the pyramids of his 2 sons that I don't know the names of. After a bit of looking around we went to this museum like thing were we saw an amazing boat that the pharaohs used to sail in when they wanted to go to places in the afterlife. At about 4:00 pm we had to go because it closed at 4:30, dam it we had to go.

The Egyptian Museum

Afew days ago we went to the amazing Egyptian Museum and it was so much fun! First we got our tickets and went in.The first things we saw were things like statues but they wern't all just Egyptian they were greek and roman too! and there was actually ancient greek writing too! but ancient greek is not like greek nowdays so we coldn't realy make out the words. The statues usually had the inprint of isis on them (the godess of the Underworld) After seeing all that we saw things like pottery and cuttlery and they usually had the imprint of the gods such as: Thorus,Thoth,Acires,Isis,Anabis and many more. Next we saw one of the most amazing things it was the coffin things that they used to put the mummies in after preparation. After a while of looking at that we saw the jewlry of which the Queens and Princesses used vto wear.My favorite one was a necklace with cobras all around the edge. After looking at that we went to the animal mummy room were we saw animals like: baboons, dogs, birds, crocodiles and many more creatures. It was kind of freaky walking through all those dead things I mean they might come alive any minute. When we got out we went to the most the most amazing thing, it was were the mummies were. The mummies names were: Tuthmosis 4th,King Tuthmosis 3rd,King Amamhotep 2nd,King Tuthmosis 2nd,King Tuthmosis 1st,King Amemhotep 1st,Setti 1st,King Meremptah,Princess Meritamum,King Seqeneretaa 2nd and last but not least Ramses 2nd.When we got out of the mummy room we went to see tuts stuff such as carriages, thrones, games, masks, beds, canopic jars and many other statues and gods.Having seen all that we decided to go to another mummy room and there we saw 5 women,1 queen with pet baboon,4 ramses 9,5,4,3,1 high preist,1prince.After looking at those we hooked on to a tour guide who told us about how the mummies were prepared I'll tell you what he said ''First the mummies lye on one bed and have the first preparation done then they lye on another bed and have the second process done then put on the 3rd bed and have the last process done and then have the same thing done with the coffins and the sarcophagusess until the pharoh can rest in peace. After looking at that we all said we were getting tired so we had to go home.
